It’s the morning after, and you wake up looking like you’ve swallowed a fist full of salt with a pint of vodka. Who is that in the mirror? Was it the chips, the pizza, the cheese, the jello shots, the chocolate? All of the above? Yikes!

OK, draw a deep breath, there must be something to help quickly depuff!

Ice, Ice Baby

Ice is your best friend now, so run, don’t walk to the fridge. You know the trick: a few ice cubes in a washcloth rubbed gently over your face. An ice cube facial is a positive first start because it helps dilate blood vessels beneath the skin, which deflates puffiness. The trick here is to be gentle. You’re not trying to freeze your skin or scrub away the puffiness. Apply gentle pressure while gliding the ice around each area as you gradually cool the skin.

Roll Away

Ever tried a jade roller? Some women swear by it to relieve puffiness; others aren’t so sure. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. But, if you read the hype, these rollers do everything.

The massage alone will help reduce puffiness, but keep the roller in the fridge and it would surely help reduce inflammation and feel pretty darned good. To use, simply move from the center of your face up and out to promote drainage.

Bye Bye Puffy Eyes

Now let’s turn to those puffy, swollen eyes. The skin around the eyes is sensitive and easily damaged. The ice facial can work, but be very careful. A more sophisticated way to reduce puffiness is to use an eye gel specifically designed to calm and soothe. The buzz these days centers on our dermatologist-reviewed gel - Aquablur® Hydrating Eye Gel + Primer. As a super hydrator and moisture replenisher (lack of moisture plays a role in puffy eyes), this combo of Hyaluronic Acid, Kombucha, Sea Kelp, and Biotin is hard to beat. Add to this Aquablur’s anti-inflammatory properties and protection from environmental stressors make it the ideal “night after” eye gel.

But here’s the kicker: it also helps add vitality and elasticity to your lashes and brows!

Try it every day for a week to start seeing a real difference. In an independent 7-day consumer survey with 69 participants,  over 80% of said AquaBlur improved the skin texture around their eyes making skin appear more supple and hydrated all day.

Your complexion will thank you for it!
