How Your Support Is Helping Us Make a Difference in 2022

We’re proud to display a pink ribbon on all of our products, and we’re even prouder of what that symbol represents: Our year-round commitment to supporting the fight against breast cancer, inspired by our Co-Founder Gayle Brinkenhoff’s own courageous battle with the disease. And we couldn’t do it without your help.

Here’s a look at the latest projects your purchases have helped to support.

Breathe Now Retreat with Dear Jack Foundation

Since its inception in 2006, the Dear Jack Foundation has served hundreds of young adult cancer patients and survivors through programs that provide support and community to a demographic far too often forgotten. The organization’s Breathe Now wellness retreats, open to survivors between the ages of 21–39 years old and their partners, help couples renew, learn, and grow as they live their lives together post-cancer.

RevitaLash® Cosmetics has committed $30,000 to Dear Jack’s October 2022 Breathe Now Retreat for breast cancer survivors in San Diego, Calif., and we will also be donating some of our products to Dear Jack program participants throughout the year.

THRIVE Fashion Show with Breast Cancer Resource Center

We were honored to partner with Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) in May to sponsor this glamorous event where cancer survivors showcased their confidence, strength, and their journeys to becoming thrivers. The fashion show raised funds for BCRC, who for 25 years has provided free essential support programs to help ease the burden of those diagnosed with breast cancer.

Brigham and Women's New England Medical Women's Luncheon

Every year, on the Friday of Mother’s Day weekend, Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Hospital hosts its annual Women’s Health Luncheon to highlight the work of the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, a national leader and change agent in health. We were honored to be a philanthropic partner to the 15th annual event this past May.

This fundraiser helps to improve healthcare for women around the world by supporting women’s health research. The science that informs medicine is alarmingly unequal. While progress has been made in women’s health research during the past decade, how diseases and drugs impact women and men differently is still unknown for the vast majority of medical conditions. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is actively changing this paradigm with the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology through advancing groundbreaking research, influencing policy, and increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the field while educating future medical leaders.

Gayle Brinkenhoff IGNITE Award

We’ve also partnered with Brigham and Women’s to fund the Gayle Brinkenhoff IGNITE Award, named for our Co-Founder, which supports early-phase, proof-of-concept investigations related to breast cancer with $50,000 grant awarded to a junior Brigham and Women’s cancer researcher. Nita Amornsiripanitch, MD, was this year’s awardee for her project “Improving Inequity in Timely Follow-up among Underserved Women Utilizing Mobile Mammography Van.” Dr. Amornsiripanitch is leveraging Quality Improvement methodology to understand the root causes of follow-up delay among women screened for breast cancer by the DFCI mobile mammography van, with the ultimate goal of improving breast cancer screening processes.

Barbara Ireland Walk and Run for Breast Cancer

Our team was thrilled to lace up their sneakers and participate in this event presented by the Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, of which RevitaLash® Cosmetics was a philanthropic partner.

At this annual event, participants walk and run in honor and in memory of the precious lives that have been taken by a disease that is all too common. Fortunately, around 3.1 million women in the United States have battled breast cancer and survived thanks to funding for research and supportive care programs. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Barbara Ireland Walk and Run for Breast Cancer funds research, genetic counseling, and supportive care programs for breast cancer patients at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center in California.

How Your Support Helps Us Give Back

We’re grateful for the opportunity to donate a portion of RevitaLash® Cosmetics sales to great organizations like these, who are making a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Every purchase you make helps us continue this mission. Interested in doing more? You can also choose to add a $1, $3, or $5 donation at checkout when you shop revitalash.com, which will go directly to our longtime partner, City of Hope, a leading cancer treatment and research organization.
